Over the weekend
I bought a sunhat
stripy orange and blue
because it finally occurred to me after weeks
of walking to work straight into the glaring sun
which even sunglasses can curtail hardly at all
that a hat with a brim would be the answer
And yes it was
This morning I wore it
and it did indeed keep the sunlight right out
the brim is a very pale yellow on the inside
and as I walked it glowed with all the light
that was not going into my eyeballs
