It’s been a day of sound
They’re driving some kind
of pylons or something
into a construction site
across the street from work
and the noise is very loud
and profoundly insistent
It makes the floor vibrate
It is not pleasant at all
But I was thinking about how
it makes this day different
from all the other days
Separates it out aurally
if in an disagreeable way
