Paris Day 2

On our morning walk Mabel watched a baker making baguettes through the bakery window, and we also peeped in the windows of the famous (but not yet open) Lauderee macaron shop. We vastly enjoyed the Musee d'Orsay (a report on the art we liked best is here) and ate lunch in the museum cafe there which is stunning and which Bill and I had been wanting to go to ever since spying it on our honeymoon ten years ago at a time when it happened to be closed. After peeping out the amazing clock windows (lots of windows on this day, I note), it was time to go and undertake our move from the hotel we stayed in the first two nights to the ridiculously beautiful apartment we stayed in on the Isle Saint Louis for the rest of the trip (photo of wood-paneled room with mirror below--crazy right?! thanks Air B&B!). We ate a lazy dinner of crepes on the quay and made the first of what would be many (many) visits to the legendary Berthillon ice cream shop, conveniently located just down the block from our new pad.
