This morning I really noticed
the astonishing amount of
public exhibitionism
that is accepted
if not indeed expected
in this town
Within one single block we had
two homeless people having a shouting match
two christian ladies
one ranting into a microphone
one waving up at jesus
and a guy getting a chair massage on the corner
from the gimmicky new masseuses
who’ve just opened up shop nearby
And then at lunch
they were giving away
pink ice cream sandwiches
